Salah

Ṣalāh was practiced in some form or the other throughout history by all Prophets عَـلَيْـهِمُ الـصَّلٰوة ُ وَالـسَّلَام and their followers as an essential part of Almighty Allah’s عَزَّوَجَلَّ religion. Islam, the final message to humanity, considers prayer as crucial. A Muslim is required to pray five times daily within specified periods, as taught by the Beloved Prophet Muhammad These prayers are obligatory, and form a direct bond between the worshipper and his Creator. Islam does not call upon Muslims to merely perform this act of worship; rather; it wants them to purify their souls. Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ the Most High says, regarding prayer:

O dear Prophet (Muhammad صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم), recite from the Book which has been sent down to you, and establish the prayer; indeed the prayer stops from indecency and evil; and indeed the remembrance of Allah (عَزَّوَجَلَّ) is the greatest; and Allah (عَزَّوَجَلَّ) knows all what you do. [Ankabut 29:45]
